According to Sarah Stierch, a Wikipedia contributor and
researcher for the Wikipedia Foundation, the layout and design of Wikipedia is
extremely masculine.
To fix this, feminists at a number of colleges across the
states will next week be launching an edit-a-thon in order to “fix” this clear “problem”.
No details have come to light about how the website is
particularly masculine. It’s words on a page and not a whole lot else; I’m
really not sure how there’s a gender bias here. Short of slapping a pink border
around it I’m not sure how they’re going to “feminise” it either.
