Rare footage of Nirvana's last ever L.A. show emerges online for the first time.
Rare footage of what turned out to be Nirvana's last ever show in L.A. has emerged for the first time, as filmed by documentary maker Dave Markey. You can view the video below.
Three songs have been uploaded from their show at The Great Western Forum on 30th December 1993, as part of their In Utero tour. The songs in question include a cover of David Bowie's 'Man Who Sold The World', the classic 'All Apologies' and another cover of The Vaselines' 'Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam' which Cobain hauntingly introduces as a homage to the then recently deceased River Phoenix who died of a drugs overdose in L.A.
Markey says of the footage: "20 years ago, I stood on Kurt's side of the stage at my hometown's Los Angeles Forum and captured the last set I would see of this band. A band that I had worked with, toured with; people that I would call my friends. A band that both the world and myself really loved (can't really say this has happened since.)"
Nirvana are due to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
