Ever taken a bite of chocolate and had it sting back?
Well Jake Keating from Liverpool almost experienced just that when he unwrapped a bar of Dairy Milk to reveal a dead wasp encased in the sweet treat. Fortunately the creepy crawly had experienced death-by-chocolate so his gums were saved, but that wasn't much consolation after discovering his snack had been ruined. He took to twitter to express his anger.
The picture attracted the attention of chocolate lovers who bombarded the Cadbury's with indignant complaints on Jake's behalf. Thankful this terrible event is being taken seriously, as well it should. The sugar addiction of the nation is no laughing matter.
The sweets manufacturer got back to the twitter community, saying;
"We’d love to reply with a pun, but we want you to know how seriously we’re taking this, so we won’t."
Cadbury added: ‘Hi guys, we’re investigating this and are in contact with the original poster. Thanks for flagging."
Glad to know they're treating the incident with the attention it deserves, instead of sugar coating it... They may be above bad puns, but I'm not.
