Mum Johanna, 40, gave birth on Monday to a boy and a girl. The babies were born prematurely in Barnsley Hospital, South Yorks and are named Ernest Ruper Atholl Deakin and Doris Poppet Deakin.
As if the small army he calls a family were not already big enough, heart throb Tomlinson, 22, is the eldest of 5. He has another set of twin little sisters, Daisy and Phoebe, as well as other little sisters Lottie and Felicitie.
Tomlinson made sure to be in the UK, despite a packed schedule and fighting off legions of fans, so that he could be with his mum when she gave birth.
A spokesman for the family said: "Louis is over the moon. He met Ernest and Doris and fell in love with them.
‘Family is massively important to him so he was made up that he was not abroad and was able to meet them so soon after they were born. His sisters mean the world to him so he’s delighted to have two more siblings to spoil.’
Tomlinsons father, Mark, split with his mum after the X Factor audition that catapulted his son to fame in 2010.
