When you're on a date, it's natural to try and impress a little. Valentine's, that pressure is higher. But it works an awful lot better if your exaggerations or outright lies are plausible, believable or realistic.
Michael Williams of South Carolina hit a little problem when his debit card was rejected on his Valentine's date. In a move we can only assume was meant to compensate for the embarrassment and make him seem all the more impressive, he decided then that he'd pay in cash, using a trillion dollar bill. Because nothing says "second date" like imitating The Simpsons' Mr Burns.
SHOCKINGLY the staff at Applebee's didn't think it was legit and called the police. Whether because trillion dollar bills don't exist, or more because a trillionaire probably wouldn't be dining at Applebee's is uncertain.
