NekNomination has reached a whole new level of crazy with children as young as 10 downing booze as part of the internet craze.
A boy of 10 from Calderdale, West Yorkshire, has wound up in hospital after becoming violently ill, having been dared to down a vodka cocktail.
We would suggest you remember how hard vodka hit you when you first sampled it. Then consider what that might do to a 10 year old who doesn't understand the concept of measures.
The boy, (who cannot be named for legal reasons) filmed himself drinking shots of a concoction containing vodka, Nando's hot sauce and mayonnaise. They do say don't mix your drinks and that would be boke inducing to even the strongest stomach!
‘The boy’s mother was in tears that her son would try such a thing. He was fine in the end, apart from feeling sick as a dog,’ a source told the The Mirror newspaper.
‘Social media sites are full of this craze. There is such a loss of innocence these days and it is horrifying that kids in junior school are urging each other to copy lethal games.’
Alcohol awareness charity Drinkaware has called on parents to warn kids from home and for primary schools to read out warnings at assemblies.
All this is in a bid to curb the spread of a craze proving more lethal than the cinnamon challenge and just as popular. At least the worst thing cinnamon can do to you is burn like hell when you get it in your eye or congeal in your throat. That can be fixed with a glass of water. The only solution for alcohol poisoning is having your stomach pumped, so long as you haven't slipped into a coma first.
