RIP Flappy Bird. Now buy my phone for 80 grand.

No sooner was it bumbling its way into our lives, the accident prone Flappy Bird is officially no more.

After only a few weeks, creator Nguyen Ha Dong, a Hanoi-based game developer, has had enough of the criticism he received for the game - presumably from fat thumbed players who could only get a top score of about 7 before going postal.

Despite earning a reported $50,000 a day from the ad revenue, Dong has taken the game off any app stores, leaving it as a fond albeit irritating memory for its many players.

The good news is that the game will not be deleted from your phone. The even better news is that some "entrepreneurs" have realised this, and are selling their old iPhones on eBay with the game pre-installed - for upwards of $600 (about £400). One seller has supposedly hit around $80,700 for their phone, in what could only be described as 'the world going f*cking bonkers'.

So there you go. Whether you've had enough of braining yourselves on 8 bit pipes and you're fed up with your single digit high score, or you just want to sell your phone to buy a Lamborghini or something, there are people out there who can help you with that.

In the meantime, if you want to try and achieve that high score you've always dreamed of, check out this really useful tutorial video.
