Back to The Future part 2. Doc Brown comes back from the future to collect Marty and Jennifer to return to the future with him to prevent their son from being arrested. They land in a futuristic (even by present day standards) city, with hoverboards and flying cars and all kinds of awesome stuff we don't have yet. Doc then has Marty dress as his teenage son in the latest fashions. This includes power laces; shoes that do themselves up perfectly in seconds. Crazy. But how mildly convinient. Shame that this Back to The Future future where these exist is all the way ahead in 2015.
Wait, 2015? That's next year. Sure doesn't look like we'll be living in the awesome future they predicted. But we might have the clothes (okay the shoes, not the inherently 80's part). Nike designer Tinker Hatfield stated when asked about power laces: "Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!"
So, Back to The Future might just be a couple of years off on the future if we're starting to see it's predictions take hold. First step power laces, next step hoverboards.
