A common (and generally lame) joke in many sitcoms revolves around a character hiring an escort only to find out it's someone they know or someone they're related to. But that really was the case for one Italian man recently.
The 70 year old went about things properly, hiring an escort from a neighbouring city, but it didn't go quite according to plan as he found himself face-to-face with his future daughter-in-law.
In previously meeting her boyfriend's parents, the young lady in question had said she was a waitress. As it turned out, she was in quite a different line of customer service.
Shockingly enough this event has sparked something of a family feud. The smart money is suggesting that there may not be a wedding any time soon.
